Friday evening saw the chance for Ultimate Products to celebrate in style at the Oldham Business Awards, held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and hosted by comedian Romesh Ranganathan. We’re really proud of our Northern roots and heritage, so it was really nice to be given the opportunity to celebrate with other local businesses and congratulate one another on our successes. The awards are set up to recognise business excellence, particularly focusing on companies which give something back to the community, by providing local employment opportunities, community support, fundraising for local charities and good practice in people management. We were shortlisted from hundreds of local businesses alongside two fantastic companies for the ‘Business of the Year £10m+’ category, and are delighted to announce that we won! The judges were really impressed with the dynamic work environment we have, stating we were a “hidden gem” in Oldham. They praised us for our commitment to improving the local area, by modernising Manor and Heron mills and creating employment for graduates and local people. We are really pleased that our hard work, growth and development has been recognised and want to thank everyone involved for a really wonderful evening! We had a lot of fun celebrating our new-found title, and feel that all of the businesses who entered deserved to be recognised for their commitment to the local industry!
