We are very proud to announce that two members from our UP Academy, Ryan and Yasir, have secured full time positions with us and have officially started at the company after graduating from our programme.
Last Autumn, we announced the launch of the up Academy, in partnership with Oldham College, which provides structured training/support and work placements at UP for college leavers, with the aim of offering full time employment on passing the academy.
On why he chose to start his career with UP, Ryan had this to say, ‘This opportunity was given to me so early on, but it was a one in a million chance that I had to take. All the staff that I worked with were so friendly and it just made for a brilliant all-round experience’. Yasir talked about what he’d learnt from his placement and is looking forward to his future at UP, ‘Rotating around the different departments has been a big change for me, but it has been an extremely valuable experience. I have truly enjoyed every moment of it and am ready for any challenges that come my way in the future!’
Well done to them both, we are delighted with the success of the UP Academy, and we can’t wait to see our new starters grow and develop further with UP!
